Tyler Perry

I just had to jump on here (yes I know its been forever) but I wanted to share how wonderful I think Tyler Perry is. I just read his interview on Oprah and after watching his interview then finding out he supports his father and gave him a mansion to live in after all he did to him....I picked my jaw up off the floor and I thought, if that's not Jesus on earth I don't know what is.

I pray Tyler finds 100% total healing and God continues to use him.

His mama gave him Jesus....I love it!

National Day of Prayer

May 6th 2010:
I wish I had something profound to say on this national day of prayer, but I don't.

I was browsing the news stories this morning while drinking my coffee and trying to wake up, and can I say news is not the way to start your morning. There is so much sadness and evil going on out there it is hard to comprehend. I know in my head the Bible said all these things would be in the last days, but it just breaks my heart to hear about them. All these stories of death and murder OVER NOTHING!! All the stories of abuse and rape, it's enough to bring anyone to tears.

“We ought to see the face of God every morning before we see the face of man.”
- Dwight L. Moody

Praise God for protecting my family from the evils they encounter. Praise God for giving us the good news and hope. Without it I can't even imagine the depression and hopelessness that would overcome the world. Thank God for Jesus and the light He shines through those who love Him. Without the love, kindness, thoughtfulness, friendship, and leadership, this home away from home would be unbearable.

Please pray for our country. Pray that God will intervene, heal our land and save us from ourselves. I pray that you all are healthy, safe, and full of peace.

“Prayer is not designed to inform God, but… to humble man’s heart, to excite his desire, to inflame his faith, to animate his hope, and to raise his soul from earth to heaven.”

It's Official and It's not good!

I know we are not suppose to be shocked by anything that happens in these last days but once in a while I still get angry even though the bible tells us these things will be so.

The National Education Association has thrown its full support behind homosexual "marriage."

The NEA recently held its annual convention in San Diego, California, where members voted on two issues of importance to those involved in the culture war. One of those issues was whether the union would support same-gender marriage. According to Jeralee Smith, co-founder of the Conservative Educators Caucus, the resolution passed by roughly a two-thirds majority. "There are quite a few items where the NEA absolutely puts its political muscle behind taking down any legislation in any state that they consider to be discriminatory to homosexuals," says Smith. "And some of the language in the resolution also hints that the NEA will try to take down the Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] on the federal level."

Smith told Baptist Press that when a representative of the Conservative Caucus spoke against the resolution and mentioned the words "marriage should be between a man and a woman," the speaker was booed. Also up for a vote was a resolution for the NEA to take a "no position" stance on the issue of abortion. That proposal was voted down 61 percent to 39 percent.

During the meeting, the organization's retiring general counsel, Bob Chanin, complained that "conservative and right-wing bastards" are after the NEA and its state affiliates. Smith called that statement "refreshing honesty" on Chanin's part about how he feels about conservatives. (See related article from LifeSiteNews.com)

Hate Crimes Bill

The Obama administration has signaled that it plans to secure passage of S.909, the "Hate Crimes" bill, this week.

Punishing wrong beliefs about homosexuality is its sole purpose.

The House has already passed and the Senate is expected to vote this week on legislation that would create a new class of crimes based on the victim's "actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity." Even more troubling is that S.909 could create special protections for pedophiles. Democrats voted down an amendment to the bill that would have excluded pedophilia and other "sexual orientations" from the definition of "sexual orientation."

"If a mother hears that their child has been raped, and she slaps the assailant with her purse, she is now gone after as a hate criminal because this is a protected class," said Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas. She could and probably would go to jail for it!!

For years, AFA and other pro-family groups have issued warnings about federal Hate Crimes legislation. The reality is that the purpose of this bill is to silence those who speak out against homosexuality. If the legislation passes, pastors could be prosecuted under the federal inducement statute for preaching the biblical view of homosexuality.

For example, a person could commit an act of violence against a homosexual individual and blame it on the pastor's sermon. Similar laws have been used to prosecute religious speech in the U.S. at the state level and abroad. Then the pastor could go to jail!!

We already saw what happened to Miss California. I am unaware what events she did not attend. However after her pro marriage comment we knew it was only a matter of time before they ousted her for something.

Just another thing obama is doing at warp speed to ruin the country.

Forced to perform abortions!

Hello sisters! This is an email I got this morning from my friends sister. She is a nurse who does not wish to participate in abortions but may soon be forced to do so. There are enough people out there willing to do them, the rest should not be forced. Please go to the link and help before Thursday!

Dear friends and family,
I need your help. PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ALL THOSE WHO YOU THINK WILL HELP. I do not want the department of health and human services to remove the religious liberty and conscience protection that allows me to perform my nursing. I do not want to be put into a ethical decision to participate in an abortion. This is in violation of my religious freedoms. All Christian medical professionals need your help before April 9. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is inviting public comment on a proposal to rescind an important federal regulation issued in December. The regulation implements and enforces three federal laws protecting the conscience rights of health care providers, especially those at risk of being discriminated against because of their moral or religious objection to abortion. PLEASE, This only takes two minutes. Please go to the following website for more information and to email the Department or Health and Human Services. (this link)

Protecting Conscience Rights in Health Care: Our Voice is Needed!

Religious liberty and freedom of conscience have been building blocks of our society since its founding. We respect conscientious objection for those opposed to war, physicians opposed to taking part in capital punishment, and others who object to involvement in the taking of life. We can do no less in the context of abortion.

Conscience protection does not threaten access to health care. Allowing health care providers to serve the public without violating their consciences protects and enhances access to health care, by ensuring continued participation by some of our most dedicated health professionals. Catholic and other faith-based providers are specially called to serve the poorest and most vulnerable, from the inner city to remote rural areas – if they are driven away, who will replace them?

Abortion, in particular, cannot be seen as “standard” health care. Most physicians, nurses and hospitals choose not to provide abortion, and the Hippocratic Oath that established medicine as a profession has rejected abortion for many centuries. Forcing health professionals to be involved in abortion against their will shows a distorted sense of priorities—one that will irreparably damage the healing professions and undermine efforts to work together for health care reform.

All persons are encouraged to submit comments. Health care professionals—hospital administrators, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, and the like—should submit examples or personal experiences where discrimination was or is a concern. Please write now urging the Administration to retain the regulation protecting conscience rights!

Fired up!

I just wanted to share something that just gets me angry and upset at the same time. A dear friend (my adopted sister) has been thinking about becoming a foster mom. I know she would be great at it because she is an awesome mom.

She first looked into a christian organization that was promoted through our church. It turns out they get the worst of the worst, the kids who no one else will take. This would be very hard as she has a 13 year old son still at home. These kids could be violent.

Her next stop just makes me angry. She went to check out another agency and they basically told her she could have a child for 3-6 months or so until they are done with their treatment (I am guessing counseling) then they go back either to their homes or back into the system. BUT the catch is they don't have to do what she tells them! She is not allowed to parent them while they are in her home! She attends church. Therefore her son attends church. Hello, the parent makes the rules right? Nope. The child in her care, that she is feeding, providing shelter and guidance for, has freedom of religion and therefore, she could not make them go to church. They flat out told her that. So gee because these kids have all these freedoms, does this mean they don't have to go to school because they don't want to? All these different groups and organizations have given kids all these rights and have taken away the parents rights and yet they wonder why the world is the way it is! They want to know why eight year olds are killing their parents and why twelve year olds are getting pregnant. Why? Because you told them they could do what they want! I recently found out even though police officers will tell you it is illegal to run away, because the detention centers are so full they can not hold you. They will release the kids back to the parents where they will up and leave again because they want to! The detention centers are full of violent, troubled kids! A boy who was recently picking on my son just got sent there for punching the school police officer. Kids don't have any respect for authority anymore. Gone are the yes ma'am no sir days. And yet, the parents are still the ones who will be sued if their children commit a crime. Ahhh the madness!

Real quick

I have been sick so no blogging lately~ but I just wanted to put out a prayer request. Tomorrow the NM Senate is going to vote on same sex marriage. They are not putting this out to a vote to NM citizens because of some law they don't have to. They are just taking it upon themselves to pass some things they want even though they were voted in to represent the people, majority is not ruling this time. Several churches have made the trip to the state capital several times and there have been thousands of people against it and barely a handful of people there to support it but it looks like it will be passed anyway. Please pray that it does not pass. Thank you.

Current Event Thursday

Thursday already?! Really?
Ok well I saw this story and while I am not going to jump on my anti obama soap box I am just going to put the story on here and refrain from giving my opinion at this time.

People of faith may be target of 'stimulus' package
The administration's economic stimulus bill needs a fix to avoid a courtroom confrontation.
Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law & Justice, tells OneNewsNow there is a provision of the act that actually allows for funds to be given by the federal government in the form of grants for renovation of existing colleges and universities.
"But when you read a little bit further into this legislation, there's a specific prohibition on two things," the attorney explains. "One, if the university itself is a religiously based or faith-based institution, it does not qualify. And if the facility that is being renovated allows religious worship to take place, it also does not qualify."
Specifically, the provision reads that stimulus funds may not be used for "modernization, renovation, or repair of facilities -- (i) used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity; or (ii) in which a substantial portion of the functions of the facilities are subsumed in a religious mission."
Under that provision, according to Sekulow, many schools would bar on-campus worship or even Bible study because it will put federal funding in jeopardy. That, he says, should raise a warning flag in a federal courthouse.
"It is unconstitutional -- and while I'm prepared to challenge it in court, and we're already working on a possibility, it really needs to be handled in the legislation," the ACLJ leader suggests. "That needs to be job one...remove this provision and get it out of the legislation."
Sekulow states that a "troubling pattern" is developing regarding the use of taxpayer money -- and that this provision is the latest example. He contrasts it with the new administration's swift move to make federal funds available for abortion-providers overseas.
"There is a priority problem in Washington," he says in a press release. "This is not what 'economic stimulus' is about. We know that the American people don't want their tax dollars used for discriminatory measures. That's why this provision must be removed now."
The attorney says if the discriminatory provision is not removed from the stimulus package and is approved and signed into law, the ACLJ will challenge it in federal court.
Stimulation of discrimination?
Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, agrees that the "anti-faith" language of the provision will censor and force people of faith from the public square.

"In order to receive stimulus money our public schools will have to expel after-school Bible clubs and weekend religious meetings," says the Christian attorney. "People who want to speak about their faith will be unwelcome in public places."

He adds that President Obama's idea of faith-based initiatives apparently is to "remove faith from all initiatives."

Prayers For Kristoffer

I am sending out a prayer request for our cousin.

First I just want to point out that in our family if someone is related in any way, no matter how far removed or even only related to an ex spouse or kids, they are all considered cousins. So with that said;

Last Wednesday the 21st, 5 year old (I think or maybe 6)Kristoffer had a fever and said his stomach hurt. His mom took him to Urgent Care at 7p.m. They did an x-ray of his abdomen and saw a mass but didn't know what it was so they sent them to the ER. They did a CAT scan and found a tumor larger than a grapefruit on his left kidney and several walnut size tumors on his liver.

This is terrible and painful for anyone to endure but even more devastating when it is a child. We all question God when things like this happen and we will never know why or what his plans are. All we can do is pray. Please pray for his healing, for the doctors to have the wisdom that they need to assist in his healing, for the side effects to be bearable for him, and for his parents. In a situation like this, their strength can only come from God.

Thank you all.

Current Event Thursday

Photobucket

There are just so many things I could talk about. So many I want to cry about, gripe about, just how do you decide? Today I want to share two stories that just break my heart. I don't want to share these to bring you down, just to ask you to pray. There are so many demons having the time of their "lives" now adays. I know I am guilty of not stopping to pray for all the innocent children in the world who are born to parents who either can't or don't want to care for them. For the elderly who have no one to watch out for them. Some children are just caught in the middle of horrible circumstances and no one knows about it so they are not getting help. They need our prayers. Some elderly people may have isolated themselves for various different reasons and are cut off from family, or maybe just don't have any family. They need our prayers.

A father allegedly threw his four-year-old daughter off a bridge in front of the girl's two young brothers and scores of motorists during rush hour in Melbourne today.
Witnesses said Arthur Phillip Freeman, 35, suddenly stopped his family car – which also had his two young sons inside – and, with young Darcey Iris in his arms, walked to the side of the West Gate Bridge, just after 9 a.m.
He then allegedly dropped his young daughter over the railing and into the water, 190feet below. Freeman reportedly got back in the large white family Land Cruiser, and drove away.
Darcey miraculously survived the fall and was pulled from the water by police within 10 minutes and ambulance officers spent the next 50 minutes resuscitating her on the bank on the side of the Yarra River. Darcey died in hospital from massive internal injuries.
The family had been in the midst of a custody battle.
Yes being with Jesus is better than her circumstances but she has two brothers 7 and 2 who witnessed this and are still in the midst of the situation. They need our prayers.

BAY CITY, Michigan — When neighbors went inside Marvin Schur's house, the windows were frosted over, icicles hung from a faucet, and the 93-year-old World War II veteran lay dead on the bedroom floor in a winter jacket over four layers of clothing.
He froze to death — slowly and painfully, authorities say — days after the electric company installed a power-limiting device because of more than $1,000 in unpaid bills.
One of the saddest things of all was that Schur appeared to have plenty of money, and, in fact, one of the neighbors who entered the home reported seeing cash clipped to a pile of bills on the kitchen table. Schur's nephew suggested the old man's mind may have been slipping.
Schur, or "Mutts," was a retired foundry worker who lived alone, his wife having died a couple of years ago. The couple had no children. He could often be seen through the big front window of his comfortably furnished home of 50 or 60 years, watching TV or keeping an eye on his neighborhood.

Now the very sad thing about this story is it is being reported he had a nephew who may have known his mind may have been slipping. Why did he not check on him? Was he too busy? This is even more sad to me than the electric company not bothering to check on the situation. He paid his bill for 50 years with no problems and yet after 4 months of unpaid bills, they sent someone to the house to put a restrictive meter on the home but couldn't send someone to knock on the door to see if he was ok?! Seems he could have handed them the money had they done that. Yes I know they can not go door to door for everyone that does not pay the bills. However when the temperatures go that low, no one should have their heat turned off or restricted. Where is all the government bail out money for that?! They are spending millions to give people coupons so they can watch tv but what are they doing for people with no heat? I would like to know if there is such a fund.
The only good thing to come out of this:
The old man's sad end two weeks ago has led to outrage, soul-searching and a resolve never to let something like this happen again. Now, let's see if any action follows.

Chickens!

Yesterday hundreds of church members, not just from our church but others as well took a trip to the state capital. They were suppose to be speaking at the legislative session with law makers and our governor. Our state is expected to vote on allowing same sex marriage. Because our state laws are asinine, the citizens of the state are not allowed to vote on this issue. Our governor really wants to push this and stated last year (when we stepped in and stopped it) no church was going to stop him from doing what he wants. We have also heard money for votes has exchanged hands.

Well guess what? They cancelled session yesterday! They knew they were going to be challenged and so they just decided not to meet! I can not even tell you how aggravated I am. I hope they know they are wrong and just did not want to admit it. Sadly it is expected to pass.

Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed

So I have had this on my blog for a while now asking you all to see this. It seems every time I wanted to sit down and watch it, something else came up. I finally got to watch it this weekend and was going to blog about it yesterday but I got so freaked out over the whole Babylon thing I decided that was more important.

Anyway~ in this Ben Stein goes on a quest if you will because he just can't believe the injustices that are happening in this "free" country. We are suppose to be free to worship here. He found out our freedoms are being taken away quietly and slowly so that one day we will just wake up and they will be gone.
There are several scientists and teachers who have been fired for even suggesting there is a God. Not even really coming out and saying there IS a God but just by suggesting it! We all know Darwin even admits he had no idea how the earth started. He just took what was already there and started thinking we all evolved somehow from one species.

SO AGAIN I ASK IF WE CAME FROM MONKEYS WHY ARE THERE STILL MONKEYS??!!

Sorry~ but again as I have said before it seems colleges are so determined to brainwash people into darwinism. Even though I was not raised a christian really I never even for a second would have given any time to the thought we came from anything other than a creator. I just don't see how those people can not see the miracle of every eyelash, skin cell, blood cell, the brain, and think it all just happened by accident!
Ok I am going to stop ranting about the way the world is now. It has been foretold. This is a very interesting documentary.

*update*
After posting this, I came across a related article on One News Now:
A government-funded website in California is promoting harmony between religion and evolution. Christians have filed a lawsuit with the U.S. Supreme Court against the website.

According to a Pacific Justice Institute press release, the website is urging public school teachers to "challenge [their] students' religious beliefs that evolution contradicts their faith." Lower courts have sided with the schools so far, according to PJI attorney Brad Dacus, who is taking the case to the nation's high court.

"[This lawsuit comes] after unsuccessfully stopping the University of California-Berkeley from continuing a program that is all about training teachers to undermine children with traditional religious beliefs about creation, and instead actually persuading them theologically why evolution is correct," he explains.

Dacus believes the state of California is funding a campaign against religion. "This lawsuit is all about funding a program that is outright anti-religious -- and that is a clear violation of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause as well as the free exercise of religion," he points out.

The Christian attorney suggests if the university was funding a program encouraging teachers to teach the validity of creationism, there would have been an immediate order to cease. Dacus adds that the government should not decree that some religious views are better than others.

9/11... 7 years later

I was so caught up in reading about and watching some things on 9/11 and the elections yesterday that I did not get a chance to swing by here.

First I want to say thank you to all our troops who willingly risk their lives for us. I want to thank their families that sacrifice their time with them for us. Now I want to ask how we got from there to where we are today. The months that followed 9/11 we were the most united country! Everywhere you looked there was a flag flying. We were no longer African Americans, Mexican Americans, Latino Americans, we were all just Americans. Now we are more divided than ever! This will surely be our downfall. Divided we fail. I don't think it is a coincedence at all that we use 911 for emergencies and this tragedy happened on this date. Our nation is in a state of emergency. Now more than ever we need to pray for our nation. You can only tell God to get out so many times before he finally says ok and leaves. How many times have we already told him to get out? Leave our schools. Leave our states. Leave our government. I pray we ask him back and he accepts.
